Hurricane Gustav

I just want to put out a prayer request for all those being affected by Hurricane Gustav. For those evacuating, safe travel and for those staying put, safety in the midst of the storm. I know personally, I have a lot of family down there. I have not heard yet whether they are evacuating or not. Mom is going to call them when she gets home and see. My brother is also on standby to go help with electrical repairs should they be needed after the storm. I am sure that we all know someone that is being affected by the storm and I ask that they all remain in our prayers throughout the coming days.

My Godmother

I ask that you put my Godmother, Debbie Dyer on your prayer lists. She is in ICU right now...they think she had a stroke. I am not sure on a lot of the other details...apparently she was upset with her son b/c she found out he had been doing some things he shouldn't and while yelling at him, fell out and has been in ICU ever since. Pray for her son also that through this he realizes his mistakes and can overcome them and be a better person. And also not feel like this was all his fault. She had a degenerative blood disease of some sort but I am not sure if that played a roll or not. Thank you so much for your prayers!!

Update 8/31: She has now gone home and they have decided that it was not a stroke but was stress related. She is able to use her arms again but is still not talking. They are also having trouble getting her to eat. They are still saying it is stress related though.

School Starting

Hello friends!!! I just wanted to post a quick prayer request for the start of school. I just pray that God will lead and guide the teachers in the best ways to lead the students. I pray that I can be a Godly example to my students in a world where there are so many different beliefs and sometimes God is very much absent. I pray for the students that their minds are open and ready to learn the things that they must learn as a 4th grader or whatever grade they may be in. Thank you so much!! Have a great week!!
